Licensing for entertainment facilities

Censorship Division regulates all public facilities used to public entertainment performances and exhibitions. Such facilities can be indoor public theatres, auditoria and open air theatres Before a licence is issued, facilities are first inspected to ensure that they meet acceptable standards and the licence holder is required to follow conditions and rules attached to the licence. The conditions include maintaining acceptable theatre standards and hosting public entertainment activities that have been issued an entertainment permit by the Censorship Division.  It is illegal for unlicensed facilities to host public entertainment facilities and exhibitions.

You can apply for such licences through Lilongwe Offices, Pagat House, Off Paul Kagame Road or from Blantyre at Blantyre Old Boma, Victoria Avenue/Hendereson Street Corner.
