Entertainment Permit

The Censorship Division issues entertainment permits for public entertainment performances. The forms of public entertainment requiring entertainment permits include live music performances, presentation of stage theatre, arts festivals and beauty pageants. This applies for both local and foreign acts of public entertainment. The Division first examines suitability of content to be showcased or presented as public entertainment and assesses arrangements for safety and security of patrons at artistic festivals before issuing an entertainment permit. 

You can apply for entertainment permits through Lilongwe Offices, Pagat House, Off Paul Kagame Road or from Blantyre at Blantyre Old Boma, Victoria Avenue/Hendereson Street Corner.
